On the day, Joel arrived promptly before the arranged time and set about helping
us all. From me with the veil to my dads cravat and handkerchief - all above and
beyond his photographic duties.
I was very self-conscious about having my photographs taken, but Joel has a way
of making you feel very at ease and as though he is just a friend taking a few casual
shots. He really knows what works well in terms of poses etc. he sensed that I was
unsure, so was able to show me the shot on his digital camera screen- how perfect.
I really cannot stress how impressed I am with Joel and his work. We had a couple
of more awkward family members, and Joel was very good at adapting himself to suit
them, as opposed to making them work with him.
All the guests commented on just how brilliant Joel was and I truly couldn't agree
more!! He is a genuinely nice man, and he is very talented at what he does. I think
this was more recognised by the fact that Joel got two wedding bookings from our
wedding, my sister-in-law Sarah and my husband's cousin.
I think that therefore Joel and his work speaks for themselves.
All in all, if I were to sum up Silent Echo photography in one word, I would say;
perfect !!!

I just thought I would drop you a word of thanks for the pictures you recently took
for us. I called you and arranged a studio sitting at very short notice. Added to
this pressure was working with my kids and their six nieces and nephews. You handled
the children with a great deal of assurance and made sure that you got the right
kind of photographs for the recipient, their grandmother. With very little time
in between, you delivered the portrait to me so I would be able to present the gift
to my mother. I can honestly say that once I saw her reaction, I realised that there
really was no other gift I could have given her which could have made her so happy
and emotional - her lifetime's work on canvas!!!!! She really was so very happy
and the portrait started her 80th birthday celebrations in the best possible way.

We would like to thank you for your excellent service. Although you never took our
wedding photographs, you kindly agreed to complete a wedding album using the photographs
that our original photographer gave us before he disappeared. You are very friendly
and accommodating. You managed to guide my wife and I through the different albums
and then through the layouts available in the album of our choice. The album you
put together is excellent and has so far not been put down by my wife and the family

day. We were thoroughly impressed with your professionalism and 'people skills'.
How anyone managed to get all our guests to look at the camera and smile at the

We used Joel in October 2006 to have a set of family portraits done at his studio.
This included our kids who were 6 months old and two! Joel was really good with
them and well prepared to act the fool to make them laugh and get his shots! He
makes you feel relaxed and asks plenty of questions to ensure that you get the pictures
that you want. We had great fun and the shoot flew by. A few weeks later Joel came
to my mother-in-law's house with his laptop and showed us the photographs. I didn't
realise he had taken so many - and all really good. It was so hard to choose! My
sister-in-law chose three lovely shots and Joel arranged for them to be mounted
together in a smart frame. We also had trouble getting a nice shot of our 2 year
old alone and so Joel used his digital expertise to 'extract him' from a group photo
and make the single photo we wanted - very clever! All in all, Joel is a lovely
guy and a fantastic photographer. I would highly recommend trying his service. I
am using him again at my wedding next month - I know he'll do us proud yet again!
